Press Herald: Hope and healing for Maine families affected by substance use

The latest installment of the Building Brighter Futures series — a collaboration between the Portland Press Herald and John T. Gorman Foundation — profiles Northern Light Health Mercy Hospital’s McAuley Residence. This two-generation program offers comprehensive supports to women in substance use recovery as well as their children, setting up families for lasting success after completing the program.

“I’m thriving, and my daughter is thriving,” said McAuley alumna Allison Edwards. “It’s all because of McAuley. I’ll never stop being thankful for that.”
