The John T. Gorman Foundation has hired Jessica Drescher, PhD, as its Senior Research Associate. In this role, Jessica leads the Foundation’s efforts to evaluate the impact of its initiatives, using research and data to improve programs and outcomes for children and families in Maine.
Informed by her own experiences growing up in Penobscot County, Jessica has focused her career on improving opportunities for children facing economic adversity. Prior to joining the Foundation, she conducted research at Mathematica, Stanford University, and Harvard University, and has published articles on topics including rural educational opportunity and child well-being.
Jessica earned her bachelor’s degree from Colby College as a Mitchell Scholar and QuestBridge Scholar. She attained her Ed.M. in Education Policy and Management from Harvard University and her Ph.D. in Education Policy from Stanford University.
