Through his role in the state’s Office of Aging and Disability Services, James Moorhead (he/him) oversees Older American Act and state-funded funded aging services and programs. He works closely with the state’s Area Agencies on Aging, Maine Legal Services for the Elderly, and the Maine Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program to improve aging and disability services throughout Maine.
James received his MA in Gerontology from Georgia State University. James has also consulted with the National Resource Center on LGBT Aging to research, write, and edit advocacy toolkits aimed at improving aging services to be more inclusive of LGBT older adults during the planning, management, and delivery of services.
