As Executive Director of Legal Services for the Elderly (LSE) since 2006, Jaye works to improve access to and the quality of legal services for the elderly across the state. LSE’s services include a statewide helpline, a statewide Medicare Part D Appeals Unit, and five area offices.
Prior to joining LSE, Jaye was a partner at the Gray, Plant, Mooty, Mooty & Bennett law firm in Minneapolis from 2001 to 2005, where she specialized in health law and co-chaired the firm’s Health and Nonprofit Organizations Practice Group. Jaye was with Gray, Plant, Mooty, Mooty & Bennett for a total of twelve years. Before becoming a lawyer, Jaye worked for over a decade in the nonprofit sector developing and managing programs and services focused on meeting the needs of people with developmental and other disabilities.
She currently serves on the Maine Council for Elder Abuse Prevention where she chairs the Standing Committee on Education and Awareness. Jaye is a graduate of Iowa State University and the Hamline University School of Law in St. Paul, MN.
