Since 2014, Lisa has served as the Program Director of Kennebec Valley Community College’s TRIO Student Support Services grant, a program increasing college access and completion for students who will be the first in their families to graduate from college, students with low incomes, and students with disabilities. Lisa leads a team to provide comprehensive academic and personal supports to program participants and co-chairs institutional committees that design programming and policies in support of at-risk students. She also partners directly with students to help them attain educational goals that may have previously seemed out of reach and assists them to design and lead meaningful campus supports for their fellow students.
Lisa currently serves on the Boards of Maine Equal Justice and the Maine Educational Opportunity Association. She graduated with a master’s degree in English from the University of Maine at Orono, where she also earned bachelor’s degrees in English and Women’s Studies.
