In her role as Director, Stakeholder Engagement, Elyse facilitates the exchange of ideas, data, and best practices among stakeholders, including grantees, Fellows and practitioners. Her work includes directing the John T. Gorman Fellowship program and the Fellowship Alumni network, as well as designing and implementing stakeholder convenings throughout the year.
Prior to joining the Foundation, Elyse was the Assistant Director for the TRIO Upward Bound program at the University of Maine at Farmington, where she worked to increase college access for low-income and first-generation college students. In addition, she has worked throughout the state of Maine to mitigate the effects of poverty and increase resilience through teaching, scholarship, and consulting. She holds a B.A. from the University of Maine at Farmington in Elementary Education, and her M.A. and Ph.D. from Boston College in Applied Developmental and Educational Psychology.
