Leigh collaborates with staff to advance the Foundation’s strategies and initiatives to improve the well-being and resiliency of Maine children and families. Leigh has a Ph.D. in Higher Education with a focus on public policy from the University of Michigan and a B.A. from Middlebury College.
In her prior work, Leigh was a Program Manager at the Aspen Institute’s College Excellence Program, where she helped to lead the biennial Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence. Previously, she served as a policy advisor in the Office of the Under Secretary at the U.S. Department of Education. There she helped to advance policies and programs to support postsecondary access, affordability, and completion. Leigh lives in Brunswick with her partner, Jack, and her two children, Teddy and Lily.
